Well, my wee little Weebly blog here seems to be doing okay. I am not much of a writer, I actually hated grammar and English/Literature subjects in school, so it's is kind of funny for me to attempt to have a blog. It doesn't matter though, because I am doing this blog to offer some of my own crafty thoughts to the world wide web :)
It has been a trying week here, I have been working on a custom pillow case order to match the huge afghan I completed a couple of weeks ago...and well, it has turned out amazing! AND, it only took me 3 days to get it that way!!! (I am being sarcastic here folks). I really need to get a good picture and will put one up in the next few days.

The picture is really quite awful and doesn't do the case any justice. I need to do the border and make a few adjustments on the seams. After trying to figure out what a multiple of 16 was (lol, stupid I know) I finally got it down. Here is thepattern I used, it is free and from Handcrafting with Love. If you want to make your own pillow case, I will save you the same headache I had, just chain 114 and follow pattern directions :) After 2 days of a too short or too long pillow case I finally got it right. This silly case really made me feel like an idiot. Oh well, one down and one more to go. I really do love this and now I am really contemplating on making a set for myself.
In the meantime, I am also happy to announce that I am an official nominee for the 2014 Martha Stewart American Made Awards. It is pretty neat, stop by and check out my profile and all of the other amazing artists and crafters out there. P.S. a vote is always good too...although you can't vote till September :( |
Lastly, I will close and say to please stop by the North Georgia Made blog to enter the giveaway and get access to great deals and coupons from North Georgia Artists and Crafters. It is so hard to believe that the year is already halfway done and the holiday season is fast approaching.
